I’m a chef – here’s how to make the perfect breakfast burrito in your Air Fryer | The Sun

WANT to start your day the right way?

A chef has revealed how to make the perfect breakfast burrito in an Air Fryer, and it takes a matter of minutes.

TikTok user @chefblakenola showed how you first need to add a knob of butter to your machine to start melting.

While this takes place, crack two eggs in a bowl, before adding a splash of milk.

Mix together and then add to your Air Fryer for a few minutes to make fluffy scrambled egg.

In the meanwhile, grab a tortilla wrap and add cheese, some cooked bacon and any sauce you prefer.

Cooking videos on TikTok have sparked a surge in demand, with 'air fryer' the most searched for item on Argos earlier this month.

The appliance, which costs as little as £40, uses less electricity as it cooks faster, providing a lifeline to home cooks struggling with the cost of living crisis.

It also uses far less oil than a deep-fat fryer, making it a healthier alternative, too.

Jenny Tschiesche, author of the Air Fryer Cookbook which contains 101 recipes, says an air-fryer is surprisingly versatile.

She explains: "The air fryer isn’t just for great tasting chips, nor is it just a smaller, faster, more efficient oven.

"It also can be used to bake, dehydrate, reheat and even make toast, because it has a range of temperatures from very low to high.

"One of the most popular reasons for buying an air fryer is that you can get the best and most efficient cooking and reheating of previously frozen foods.

"An air fryer outperforms a conventional oven too, by almost 50 per cent, and in terms of efficiency, cooks food up to 25 per cent quicker than convection ovens."
