A DOG EXPERT has revealed the three extra-large dog breeds he would never recommend for families.
The dog trainer known as americanstandardk9 on TikTok shared his thoughts on the gigantic pooches.
In a recent TikTok video, he said: "Top three dog breeds we would never recommend as professional dog trainers."
Starting at number three, the dog whizz revealed he would never recommend owning a Tibetan Mastiff.
He explained: "A monster of a dog that is capable of killing an entire pack of wolves.
"So do you think you need that in your home with your small children? Not necessarily."

Although these may be beautiful, the dog expert added they're stubborn, hard to train and probably not a good fit for your home.
The next giant dog the expert wouldn't suggest owning is a Great Dane – purely because of how big they are.
"We're talking about just a dog that is just too big for most homes," he added.
The dog expert explained: "Now those are really sweet dogs, and they can make amazing pets.

"The problem is it's a complete lifestyle changer.
"You have to basically rearrange your whole house, even when it comes to getting a crate and taking them places."
The last enormous dog the trainer warned against getting was the Cane Corso.
He said: "That is too much dog for about 99.9% of folks.
"And that's coming from us, not only as professional dog trainers, but owners of the Cane Corso.
"They are absolute battle tanks, and you don't need that in your suburban neighbourhood."
The video has since gone viral with over three million views and over 200k likes.
People quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts.

Another person commented: "Never heard a single dog trainer say this about a Cane Corso until now. Excellent with children, brilliant family dogs."

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "I have a Great Dane and he is an amazing dog but he is scared of small dogs."
"We have a Tibetan Mastiff and she is absolutely amazing with kids," claimed a fifth.
