Jorginho reveals brutal reason he quit Chelsea to join London rivals Arsenal in shock January transfer | The Sun

JORGINHO has revealed why he left Chelsea for Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The Italian midfielder, 31, made the switch to the Emirates on deadline day in a surprise move across London.

It came as Chelsea looked to offload players following a £300million mid-season spending spree.

And Jorginho has now admitted it became apparent he was not needed at Chelsea anymore.

Speaking to DAZN, he said: "I had spoken to Chelsea and I knew I was no longer part of their plans.

"Sometimes you must accept when you are out of a project, things come to an end.
