Erik ten Hag 6/1 to leave Man Utd before Christmas after City thumping with list of likely replacements revealed | The Sun

ERIK TEN HAG is just 6/1 to leave Manchester United before CHRISTMAS.

Bookmakers Betfair were forced to revise their odds after the dismal home display in the Manchester derby, which saw rivals Manchester City run out comfortable 3-0 winners.

Ten Hag's men looked hapless after a promising opening 10 minutes to the game in which they started brightly.

His half-time changes were poor and only played more into City's hands.

his decision to replace striker Rasmus Hojlund on 73 minutes was then booed by the home crowd as United chased a goal to half the 2-0 deficit at the time.

Phil Foden added a third shortly after, leaving United down in 8th spot and 11 points off pacesetters Tottenham after 10 games.

They're now as big as 7/2 to finish in the top four – behind the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle, and the same price as Brighton to do so.

That's forced Betfair to act and slash the odds of Ten Hag quitting this year, while also revealing their list of most likely replacements.

Potential Man Utd replacements

Should Erik Ten Hag leave

  • Zinedine Zidane: 4/1
  • Julian Nagelsmann: 5/1
  • Roberto De Zerbi: 15/2
  • Graham Potter: 10/1
  • Michael Carrick: 12/1
  • Antonio Conte, Gareth Southgate, Julen Lopetegui: 16/1
  • Mauricio Pochettino, Diego Simeone, Kieran McKenna, Wayne Rooney: 20/1

Julian Nagelsmann (5/1) is next with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi third favourite (15/2).

Graham Potter (10/1) and Club legend Michael Carrick (12/1) and are two others potentially in contention.

"The Red Devils’ latest defeat has left them as 7/2 outsiders to secure a top four finish. The Dutchman is also 9/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave.

“Zinedine Zidane is the 4/1 favourite to become Ten Hag’s successor, with Julian Nagelsmann 5/1, Roberto De Zerbi 15/2 and Graham Potter 10/1.”
