DO you have jeans tucked away in the back of your closet, waiting for the day you'll fit into them again?

A fashion expert has revealed the wardrobe staples you need if you find yourself between sizes.

Instagram user Merrick White, who runs the account Merrick's Art, shared her top tips for shopping when you're in between sizes.

"Whether you’re postpartum, put on some weight, are trying to lose weight, are going through menopause, or any other reason your size is shifting, you deserve to feel confident and happy," Merrick said.

She continued: "You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe, but there are a few things to look for that will help you feel confident in a changing body."

For her first tip, the Instagrammer recommended buying pants that fit you as you are currently.

Merrick called the advice non negotiable and advised her viewers to avoid waiting until they've lost weight.

For her next suggestion, the fashion expert told her followers to invest in stretchy pants as they can adjust as your body changes.

Merrick also recommended looking for tops with structure if you are in between sizes.

"Structured fabrics will smooth over your body and won’t cling to your tummy or back or hips in a way that accentuates the extra weight," the expert explained on her blog.
