A GARDENING pro has shared his top hack to remove grass growing between sidewalk cracks.
Taking to social media, the man explained that you only need three ingredients to make the concoction.
The best part? All of them are probably already stocked in your home.
Sharing a clip of grass coming out of a pavement, he said: “If you’re tired of grass growing in your sidewalk cracks, here’s a DIY hack.”
He then switched the scene to his kitchen counter, where he lined up everything to put into a spray bottle.
He said: “All you need is a little bit of white vinegar, dish soap, some salt and a spray bottle.”

TikTok user @mr.gardeners then instructed people to add the vinegar into the bottle first followed by the dish soap and salt.
Over this, he wrote: “1 Gallon of Vinegar, 1 Cup of Salt, 1 Tablespoon of Dish Soap”.
He went on: “Be mindful where you spray the solution as the salt keeps anything from growing back even if you want it.”
Shaking the bottle vigorously, he then said: “Then liberally apply the solution to any of the areas that you wish to remove the weeds.

“By the next morning this grass was good to go.”
He then showed the result of spraying the solution on the grass, as it all looked dried out and dead.
People flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts as one person asked: “So does it stop it re growing or just kill the stuff that’s already there”.
The gardening pro replied: “That salt will make the soil less conducive for weeds to come back for a while. As with chemical applications, you have to reapply occasionally.”
Another shared: “I’ll have to send this to my dad. There’s so much grass growing through the cracks of the driveway.”
They replied: “This will certainly help! I’m sure he’ll be glad you did.”
