WHILE dogs are known to be a man’s best friend, not all pups will give you the companionship you’re after.
One groomer said there are certain breeds she would stay away from.
Ali Matic (@alimaticc) is an animal lover who admitted to picking favorites when it comes to the dogs she cares for.
As a groomer, she deals with various pups one-on-one and studies their personalities.
Sharing her perspective in a TikTok video, she listed the breeds she would never own.
While Doodles, commonly touted as hypoallergenic, have become the go-to in recent years, Ali said she’s not buying it.
Why? “Overpriced mixed breed,” she said.
As for Cocker Spaniels, their adorably long and dangly ears come with some drawbacks, the groomer revealed, using a disgusted emoji to signify how dirty they get.
Similarly, for her, a pug’s charm is outweighed by its poor health.
If you’re looking for a carefree dog, Ali said to stay away from Huskies.

“Dramatic,” she wrote, while rolling her eyes.
While German Shepherds make for good-looking guards, she claimed they have a lot of anxiety.
“Border Collies,” she added, “are crazy on the table and give you sketch eyes.”
And the last warning she gave was to be careful with chihuahuas: “Actually the devil.”
In the comments, she clarified that she actually “adores” all of these dogs as animals, but she just doesn’t always love them “as clients” and wouldn’t “own them personally.”
When a few pet owners fired back at her comment about chihuahuas, Ali responded: “Definitely not all of them [are devils]! I groom plenty of them that I love,” she wrote, adding that, “some of them are the sweetest babies.”
As for a few dogs she does enjoy caring for?
“I love love love schnauzers! They are feisty but so fun to groom,” she said, also adding that she “adores mastiffs.”
