I’m a hair expert & everyone thinks I have extensions – how I went from limp & aging to Hollywood glam in 4 simple steps | The Sun

A HAIR expert has shared four simple tips that she says transformed her hair from limp to glam.

TikToker Abbey shares various hair hacks in her videos, but recently revealed the four tips for maintaining better hair care.

"Before these questions even come in: No, it's not extensions," Abbey says in a video before revealing her four tips.

"Actually, three out of the four are all about scalp health.

"Scalp health is imperative when it comes to hair density, hair growth, all the things, because if you have bad scalp health, you're gonna have bad hair health."

Abbey's first tip involves a weekly oil treatment.

She says she sometimes even does the treatments twice a week.

"This really creates the optimal environment for natural, healthy hair growth on your scalp and even if you are oily, oil treatments can definitely benefit you," she says.

Her second tip involves a filtered shower head.

"Hard water affects your scalp, so it creates build up on your scalp from calcium, which can clog your hair follicles, which can result in hair loss."

Abbey also says she stopped using drug store products on her hair.

She gave multiple reasons for this, including "disgusting ingredients" that can cause build up on your scalp.

"Over time, it creates a lot of hair problems," she says.

Her final tip involves weekly mask treatments – but she warns to pay attention to ingredients in the mask.

"I use a mask that has aloe vera juice … and it really helps soften your hair and helps prevent breakage."

The video has been viewed more than 648,000 times.

While many asked Abbey for specific product recommendations, the TikToker said: "I care about your hairs specifics needs and NEVER want to rec anything."

Others shared their victories after following some of Abbey's steps.
