SUMMERTIME is officially here.

While the heat and time off from school or work may be a welcome change, the mosquitos that come out during this season certainly are not.


A woman named Nicole Willett, who goes by @peaceful_nik_the_medium, said she has a useful hack that will get rid of all your itchy mosquito bites in seconds.

She shared the tip in a TikTok video that received nearly one million views.

“It’s mosquito season and I just saw a video about somebody taking like 15 Benadryl and blah blah blah, saying you can get rid of bug bites in an hour.”

Nicole said that isn’t the best idea.

She said that as a former Southerner, she had to deal with these pests every day. A friend of hers taught her the trick that she claimed is “so easy and so fast.”

The best part? You only need three things that you definitely already have at home: a cup, a spoon, and a little bit of water.

“Stick the spoon in the water for 30 seconds or until the spoon gets hot.

“Then take the spoon and press it on the bug bite.”

Nicole said it’s important that you don’t burn your skin with the metal spoon.

“What I like to do is tap it until I can tolerate the heat so that I don’t have a burn.

“When I can tolerate the heat, I hold it as long as I can.”

She said with this method, you’ll see the bump go down in just a few seconds.

“The heat from the spoon breaks down the enzymes in the bug bite that causes the itching and the swelling.

“I swear by this, I’ve used this technique for years.”
