I'm a lawyer – I have a massive tip for someone who has just been arrested and it could get you off ALL charges | The Sun

A LAWYER has claimed she has a tip for people that have been arrested.

The legal expert, known as Angela, said you may avoid being charged but it depends on the negotiating skills of your attorney.

In a TikTok clip, she said: “There’s a window of time between you getting arrested and the DA filing charges.

“This is where wealthy people with good lawyers have a huge leg up.”

Angela claimed: “A good lawyer can potentially negotiate a deal for you even before the charges are filed.

“Maybe even convince the DA to file no charges at all. Public defenders can be amazing.”

She urged those that have been arrested to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible.

One TikToker said: “I had a lawyer that did this for me.

“The DA looked at my case and said ‘this doesn’t even make sense’ and dropped it.”

While another said: “Honestly, this is the most solid advice. Every time.”

But some viewers were left curious as they asked Angela about the process of finding a so-called “good lawyer”.

Meanwhile, lawyer Carrie Jernigan has revealed the signs that you should look out for when someone is lying.

In her TikTok video, she said one obvious way to tell if someone is lying is if they repeat the question back to you.

Another sign is that a person may put too many details into their account.

People that are telling the truth don’t need to make up additional minor details because the truth is enough, according to Jernigan.

In another video, the lawyer, who received her JD from the University of Arkansas Law School according to her law group's website, has revealed three reasons why she will never sail on board a cruise ship.

And, she explained why she would never take someone else’s prescription medication.

Jernigan also claimed that she warned people never to use the Walmart self-checkout.
