A MOULD pro has revealed a super simple way to stop it from attacking your clothes – and all you’ll need are two bargain items.

Anita Birges shared that placing a stick of blackboard chalk covered in clove oil will help absorb moisture and stop mould from ruining your jeans, jumpers and t-shirts. 


Known online as @miseenplace_au, the TikTokker is on a mission to banish mould around her Australian home and regularly shares her tips online with her 62,200 followers. 

In a new reel, she said: “The little chalk hack to keep mould away that every person should know.

“It’s all about absorbing moisture, and if you can’t get yourself on one of those damp-rid or damp-free kits, all you need to do is get yourself some mega chalk. 

“Grab yourself some clove oil, dap on three, couple of drops really, and then you pop them in your drawer. 

“Place or hang them in cupboards and drawers around the house and allow the scent to waft around, killing mould spores. 

“Mould, mould go away.”

Below the video, she explained how it works, adding: “The chalk absorbs the moisture and the clove oil prevents the mould coming back.”

Shoppers can pick up giant chalk sticks from various retailers, including Amazon, with prices starting at £4. 

Clove Oil is also super easy to get your hands on, with stores like Boots selling the essential oil for as little as £2.99. 

Fans loved her quick and easy hack, with the video gaining more than 11,200 likes and 109,900 views. 

In the comments, other TikTok users shared their reactions to her idea, with one writing: “Wow, thank you so much for sharing. Superwoman.”
