I’m a mum – how to stop your kid’s ice lollies from dripping all down them using a 1p item hiding in your cupboard | The Sun

HAVE you ever handed your child an ice lolly to eat and immediately regretted it when you saw it dripping all down their chin?

A busy mum-of-four also found herself in the same sticky position, so decided to get inventive and come up with a handy way to make it stop once and for all.

Mumfleuncer Shannon Doherty, who has amassed 1.4 million followers with her TikTok account @atsomewithshannon, posted a video explaining how cupcake cases are the perfect solution.

She said that cupcake linings, which can be bought in a packet for £1 and so amount to approximately 1p each, can be pushed up the stick in twos or more.

That way they can easily capture any drips before they become a problem and get all over your children’s body and clothes.

Showing her daughter snacking on an ice pop at the beach, Shannon said they easily create “no drip pops” for all the family.

However, that’s not the cupcake case's only use – as Shannon has revealed to other parents ahead of the summer months.

She said they can also be used to create a shield for drinks to stop bugs getting into them.

Simply push a straw through the bottom of the casing to create a paper lid for each glass you’re drinking from.

Another genius hack is to use them as little snack holders for when you’re in the garden or on the beach.
