I’m a mum & I have an urgent warning to parents to keep your kids safe in a pool – it’s not enough to teach them to swim | The Sun

A MOTHER and criminologist has shared an urgent warning to parents, to ensure your kids are kept safe this summer.

So if you are lucky enough to be going on holiday this summer, or maybe you’ve even got your own pool in your garden (we're jealous), or you might even be planning on visiting a lido, then you’ll need to listen up quickly.

A woman has shared her advice to ensure your kids are kept safe when near and in a swimming pool.

According to this parent, it is very important that you teach your child how to swim, when they are fully clothed and with their shoes on.

It may sound strange, but she claimed that doing so will ensure that if they accidentally fall in a pool whilst clothed, they will be able to safely get themselves to safety.

Dannah Eve took to TikTok to share her warning, as she posted a clip with the caption ‘PSA FOR ALL PARENTS.’

Dannah explained: “Here’s another summer safety tip for all my parents out there.

“If your child is old enough, teach them how to swim, with their clothes and shoes on.

“Odds are, if they accidentally fall in the pool, they will be fully dressed.

“And if God forbid, nobody happens to see them right away, you want to make sure that they know how to get to the side, and they know how to swim fully clothed.”
