A SINGLE mum-of-four revealed how she manged to transform her run-down council house.

When the family first moved in they all had to sleep in the same room because the house way so out of shape, but with a little DIY work it's hardly recognisable.



"When we first moved in all five of us were sleeping in the one room, it wasn't really good for is, I was so depressed," the mum confessed.

Although it was a big job to redecorate an entire house, she managed to get it done overtime.

She said: "The majority of the work I've done myself, I've only had someone to do the plastering in the dining room because it was so bad."

But after watching other people renovate their own homes the savvy mum picked up the skills to try it for herself.

She did everything from tiling the floors, fitting doors and painting walls on her own.

The house had a good base but needed some serious attention, the wallpapers was straight out of the 70's and there weren't any carpets, just floor boards.

She showed off the huge living room, which had definitely seen better days and the old-fashioned kitchen.

"It's a bit small but we can work with it," she said.

Upstairs, the bedrooms where impressively big, but also very run-down.

"I'm not gonna lie I love the layout of this house," she raved.

The mum then showed the house again, and it's clear all her hard work paid off, the home looked totally differnt.

She added a huge corner sofa and posh light fittings to the living room and a fresh lick of paint.

Some snazzy wallpaper and fresh carpet made all the difference in her kids' bedrooms as well, you'd never be able to tell they didn't always look so chic.

The mum used some stick-on tiles in the bathroom that instantly gave the room an updates and modern look.

And a fresh coat of paint on the outdated kitchen cabinets helped bring the house into 2022.

She even spruced up the garden with a canopy and inflatable hot tub.

Sharing the transformation on her YouTube channel, viewers where stunned by the difference.
