I’m a personal stylist – seven reasons why you have a closet full of clothes but ‘nothing to wear’ | The Sun

A PERSONAL stylist has shared her seven reasons why you have a closet full of clothes but yet still say you have 'nothing to wear.'

The fashionista dove deep into why most clothes in your closet go unused and unworn in a viral TikTok video.

Personal & Virtual Wardrobe Stylist Marie Zydek uses her style and expertise to educate viewers on TikTok about fashion trends, closet organization, and chic ways to accessorize.

"I'm a personal stylist and here are seven reasons why you have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear, " Zyrdek says at the start of the video.

Perfectly captioned, "I can help you make sense of your wardrobe," the video details the many thought processes behind why so many people struggle to purge their closets.

It only makes sense that the stylist would be able to spot why closets are full and yet full of 'nothing'.

Zyrdek soon tells viewers her reasoning for sharing the fashion hacks.

"Number one, you don't have enough basics," she states.

Basics are plain clothing items that will quickly become go-to essentials, such as a little black dress, chic loafers, a button-up top, classic jeans, and more.

The second has to do with when people buy pieces of clothing just because they're on sale, without actually loving the purchase.

The third reason Zyrdek mentions is something we all can relate to and that is when your clothes just don't fit.

Many people hold on to smaller-sized or too-loose clothing items in the hopes that they'll be able to wear them again when in reality it just takes up space in your closet.

"Number four, your wardrobe no longer suits your lifestyle," she declares.

As we get older, our sense of style changes and evolves which may sometimes leave closets full of clothing articles that we no longer like.

"Number five, you are overwhelmed with all of the options in your closet," she says emotionally.

Many people can relate to this piece of advice, as well as the following.

She goes on to add in her sixth reason that many people don't know what their personal sense of style is, which, for some, can take years to curate and develop.

"And number seven, you don't purge your closet often enough," she explains as she shares her last fashion thought.

Zyrdek's statements hold a bout of truth for many because at least one person is guilty of committing one of these mistakes.

Plenty of people in the comment section of the video related heavily to Zyrdek's tips.

"7 reasons to be personally attacked," one user commented.
