I’m a plus-size model – I still wear ‘daring’ tight dresses and bikinis, I don’t care about ‘beauty standards’ | The Sun

A PLUS-SIZE model has declared she will dress just how she wants and if that offends people, then tough.

She's had to endure some unpleasant attacks from trolls in the past, but this stylish lady's resolve remains intact.

There will be no cover-up here.

Neither will she subscribe to any type of "beauty standard."

Sarah Ostiguy is steadfast and her oozing body positivity and confidence have seen her attract a huge following.

The digital creator describes herself as: “Your curvy fashion bestie," and her 102,000 followers on her Instagram, certainly lap up her posts.

In an interview with the Daily Star, she declared that she liked to "wear something daring."

She continued: "Could be a bikini, a tight bodycon dress, anything out of your current comfort zone that you are usually too self-conscious or scared to wear," she said.

"You wear it and you live in it, you get comfortable, you get used to it and it becomes normal.

"You start feeling better about yourself in it, and you realize that the world doesn’t crumble simply because you wore something they think you shouldn’t have," she revealed.

This lady will not be told what to wear: "Forget the beauty standards, forget the rules, wear what you want for you."

Her platform is a celebration of her different looks.

She can rock cool, feminine, and elegant with ease and panache, appearing in bikinis and tight bodycon dresses.

It's all about style, for Sarah, and most definitely not size.

She has had to distance herself from the cruel keyboard warriors.

"The sheer amount of people on the internet that spend their time being flat-out bullies is astounding, disheartening, and disgusting," she said on her Instagram.

"Thankfully for every bad comment from someone being an *sshole, there are beautiful comments and messages from all of you."

But Sarah makes clear in her posts there is so much more to her than just being 'plus-size'.

“Remember my name, not my size. I’m Sarah, not the ‘bigger one’.

"Remember my laugh, my smile, how I made you feel. Remember my style, remember my work," she said.

Then continued: "But never reduce me to being just a body. Because we are so much more than that and our bodies are just that, bodies.”

Her fan base is loyal and comments to her posts were in awe.

"Oh wow. You’re beautiful," was typical of many more.
