I’m a size 3X and I spent $120 on Skims but none of the clothes fit – they looked like they were made for dolls | The Sun

A "PLUS-SIZED" woman was so excited to get a haul of SKIMS, Kim Kardashian's fashion line, she spent $120 on the brand.

However, when they arrived, she found it was a waste of money, as she said the clothes were so small, they looked like they were made for dolls.

A Maryland fashion blogger, who goes by the name Miss Jemima, shared her honest review of SKIMS on a plus-sized body in a recent Youtube video.

"What is this?" she said in horror as she tried on the clothes.

"I've had my eye on them for a little bit but I was quite satisfied with my Spanx so I never bothered to venture out and see what else I can get, because, if I'm being honest, I'm usually let down, disappointed, and underwhelmed by all the shapewear that's out there," the blogger explained in her video.

Jemima admitted she is "particular" about her shapewear.

She then revealed that she had purchased three different types of shapewear, including the ones made for dresses with high slits, which would set her back around $120.

"Apparently you have to buy two different kinds to get the ones with each leg out, I was hoping you could buy one and interchange them," she said.

Pulling them out of the package, Miss Jemima explained that she purchased, as directed, one for each leg, in a 4X/5X despite wearing a 3X in everything else.

"Look! Oh my god," she kept saying as she held the shapewear to her body, showing off how much smaller it looked.

"This is going to be a nightmare to get on! And you can't return it if you try it on. How am I supposed to put this on? There's no way!"

She stretched it across her body and even tried to fit her arms into the leg holes with no success, though she appreciated the brand matched a variety of different skin tones.

Finally, the moment to try them on came.

As she tried to slip them on, they wouldn't go past her knees.

"This has to be a joke! Maybe they mislabeled? It looks like it's a size six and not a 4X."

After pulling them off, Miss Jemima sat on her chair, frustrated.

"This was such a huge fail. Coin not well spent, so I would say so if you're a 1X, you might be able to fit in this 4X/5X.

"It's not even a quarter of my belly.

"I want my money back, and these are not cheap."

The situation was sad for her, as she wanted to wear them with a slit dress on vacations, so as not to have sweat stick to her dress.

Following her video, many took to the comment section to share similar experiences.

"I feel your pain! I’m usually a 1X, ordered 2X-3X, and broke them on the first try," one woman wrote.

"Was left breathless from putting them on! Most misleading and disappointing shapewear out there. Thank you for your review! Should have watched this before spending my hard earn money on this trash!"

A second added: "Skims went ahead and skimmed off the rest of the material. You’re better than me cause I wouldn’t have even tried it on."

And a third said: "Had the same issues with Skims but was able to get them on by standing up and using my knees to widen them up to my hips real quickly. 4x-5x is more for size 18-20."
