A SKINCARE guru has shared her expert tips on how to achieve flawless and glowing skin while travelling.

Whether you're jetting off for a last minute getaway to the Mediterranean or preparing to hop on a long-haul flight to the USA – these hacks will give you a holiday glow before you step off the plane.

Flying tens of thousands of feet in the air can make your skin dry, puffy and possibly breakout.

Farnaz Khan, who is the founder of SXCGLO, shares her skin secrets for travelling by plane.

Taking care of your skin before the flight is just as important to keep you glowing.

The night before your flight, slather on a moisturising face mask packed with hyaluronic acid.

This will help create a protective barrier against the cabin's drying air.

And a couple of DAYS before your departure use a gentle exfoliator to get rid of dead skin cells as it will help create a fresh canvas for in-flight skincare.

Invest in a vitamin C serum and apply one or two drops to your face after cleansing and before moisturising.

As soon as you're in your seat, ready for take off, remove your make up with a hydrating cleansing wipe.

Make sure to keep a handy travel-sized rose water or aloe vera facial mist for regular sprites throughout the flight to instantly hydrate your skin.

Then go in with a moisturiser with added antioxidants to help combat the dry cabin air.

Massage the product in by using upward strokes to help stimulate circulation in your face.

Apply SPF as well as the sun’s UV rays are significantly stronger above cloud level.

Apply eye cream to keep puffiness and dark circles at bay, a highlight formula will ensure you look bright-eyed.

Keep a hydrating lip balm on you to help prevent chapping and cracking.

After your flight, indulge in a hydrating face mask to rejuvenate your skin.

Treat your skin with a calming serum with ingredients like chamomile and aloe vera to help soothe any redness and inflammation.

Make sure you stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.

Farnaz added: "At 30,000 feet, humidity in an aircraft cabin drops to around 20 per cent.

"To avoid dehydration, puffiness and possible acne breakouts Ideally, our skin’s humidity should be maintained at 40-70 per cent.

"So hydration is key when before and during your flight. Drink lots of water and make sure your complexion is well moisturised when you're up in the air.
