We're saying 'bye-bye' to strawberry legs – my tips will give you silky skin, welcome to shave school | The Sun

A SKINCARE professional has revealed her top tips to finally wave "bye-bye" to unsightly strawberry legs.

She said her shaving school method will leave you with silky, smooth skin.

But you have to follow her process because there's far more to it than a just quick flick of the razor.

“Welcome to shave school," said Lara (@mi-elskincare) as she laid out her lesson plan.

Her skincare regime has a large following on her TikTok with an audience of over 152,000 and another 4.3 million likes.

It advocates a more natural approach: “Skincare infused with honey from our bee farm. Bodycare for shaving irritation," she wrote.

In this post, she tackled keratosis pilaris (KP), a harmless skin condition commonly known as strawberry legs.

“We’re going to say bye-bye to strawberry legs and hello to smooth, silky skin," she said.

But first, she advised preparing your legs before even shaving and suggested one of her products, "Mi-el’s Sugar Scrub."

“So rub on your leg in circular soft motions. By exfoliating you’re going to remove dead skin cells and unclog the pores that are blocking your hair follicles."

Next up, she wanted to talk about razors: “A clean sharp blade will not tug or irritate your skin. [But] using a dull blade will worsen and will cause bumps."

A good lather for shaving was also important, but Lara admitted to using a face and body wash for this part of the process.

“Rub it all over your leg, and then we’re going to shave. This will create a protective barrier and allow your razor to glide smoothly."

But don't stand in the shower to shave she cautioned, step out of the water stream for this part.

She then advised shaving in the right direction. "Always go towards the grain of the hair to minimize any irritation."

Finally, she wanted to share the wonder of her post-shaving cream.

"If you only take one thing away from this video the Mi-el Bump Bee Gone cream. This has glycolic acid in it."

She swore by it and urged her viewers to take note.

“It has active ingredients that are going to help prevent your strawberry legs," she said.
