MAKE-UP remover pads are an absolute lifesaver when you’re looking for a quick way to take your face off at the end of the day.
But given a pack of cleansing pads can set you back anywhere between £5 and £20, they’re a bit expensive if you use them regularly.
So one skincare whizz has come up with a super simple method of crafting your own – and for less than £5 you can create hundreds.
Matt Random is a beauty buff who regularly shares tips and hacks with his 630k followers on Instagram.
And in a recent clip that racked up more than 27k likes, he shared the nifty hack for creating DIY make-up remover pads.
Commenting on a video exemplifying the method, Matt began by explaining that you take 200ml of water, before adding a teaspoon of both baby shampoo and baby oil.

Give the mixture a stir, before adding it to a cylindrical pot which you can store the pads in.
Then take some pads and put them into the mixture, adding another glug between every stack that you insert so they’re all thoroughly soaked.
Screw on the lid and voilà, you have the perfect pads ready to use whenever you want.
You can pick up baby shampoo for around £1.30, while baby oil comes in at £1.50.

A large pack of plain cotton pads, meanwhile, will set you back around £1, meaning you can easily craft hundreds for less than a fiver.
Viewers flooded the comment section with hundreds of replies sharing their opinions on the quick hack, but seemed rather divided as to whether they’d give it a go themselves.
“I use baby shampoo all the time to clean my make-up from my eyes, it’s safe and it’s good,” one user agreed.
“Love this idea,” a second wrote with a praise emoji.
But some were concerned about how long the pads would be able to be stored for while staying fresh.
“Good idea, but I think with the added water there will be lots of bacteria growing…” one wrote.
“Must must must have a preservative, it will spoil after three or four days,” a second added. “You may possibly smell it start to go bad.”
