ANYONE who has always wanted a tattoo will know that it can take years to come up with the perfect design.
But one tattoo artist named Dave Chudley warned of a particular inking people may regret…because it requires a lot of maintenance.
In a clip shared to TikTok (@chudleyd_), he revealed the tattoos people will regret in the next 10 years.
"Finger tattoos are almost guaranteed to fade and drop out in time," he begins.
"I love my finger tattoos, but you've go to be willing to have them touched up occasionally."
He goes on to say that he loves his finger tattoos – adding they're actually some of his favourite inkings – but points out "there is upkeep."

"If you're someone that's not willing to keep up with the maintenance, you're going to hate them," he continues.
"They will look s***."

Speaking from experience, Dave says he's had his fingers inked three times now.
"It's the nature of it," he explains.

The post quickly went viral, racing up a whopping 479k views and several comments from tattoo fans up and down the country.
"You’ll 100% regret blackout," wrote one.
A second penned: "Mine look fine after 3 years – like, next to no difference.
"We'll see in another 7 obviously but still lol."
A third wrote: "I literally regret all my tattoos – wish I never got any."
Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Idk, I don’t mind the fade.
