I’m a teacher – the 10 worst things about the job… and parents DO make the list | The Sun

A TEACHER has revealed her ten least favourite things about her job choice – and parents don't escape the list.

The woman called Jody shares the highs and lows of her career in education on her TikTok account.

In one post, which has received hundreds of 'likes', the US-based mumcan be seen lip syncing to Leah Kate's song 10 Things I Hate About You.

The clip, in which she appears to stand in a classroom, then sees her countdown her biggest professional gripes to the camera.

First up are the short 25-minute lunchbreaks, followed by having to adhere to a particular staff dress code.

Jody then takes aim at the meetings she has to attend, and the pressure to 'always be "on"'.

The teacher next reveals that "afternoon duty" is another task she doesn't look forward to, along with having to send out a "million emails".

It's not just having to deal with kids all day – but also the parents too – with Jody noting that she dislikes having to ring them up.

The final two downsides on her list are "scrutiny of your personal life off duty" and "state testing", which is applicable to US-based schools.

Her honesty resonated with other teachers on TikTok, with one writing: "Same girl!!"
