I'm an interior pro and created secret sliding doors using a £30 Amazon buy – it's a game changer for hiding mess | The Sun

AN INTERIOR designer has shared her stylish way to conceal mess and storage cupboards around the house.

Rachel Martino created two sliding mirror doors in her maximalist home using a £30 buy from Amazon.

The 33-year-old took to Instagram to share her “secret” behind the mirror doors.

She has one in the ensuite toilet and one in the upstairs hallway of her New York, US home.

The ensuite sliding mirror conceals a storage cupboard, while the one in the hallway conceals her washing machine and tumble dryer.

To create them, Rachel purchased two lots of 20 inch extension drawers slides which come in packs of two and cost £29.99 a pop.

She repurposed the extensions by placing them at the top and bottom of the wall openings.

The connecting pieces were placed on the backs of the mirrors before being fastened to the wall to create the sliding doors.

Rachel’s home has gained traction on social media thanks to its quirky colour patterns and maximalist style.

After months of fans asking how she created her sliding mirror doors, she revealed all in an Instagram post.
