I'm on the hunt for the best plus-size offerings on the high street, I tested out M&S' gym range – here's how I got on | The Sun

A FASHION fan is on a mission to find the best plus-size offerings on the high street – but it seems M&S isn’t quite hitting the mark when it comes to gym wear.

Muinat revealed she was hoping to find stylish workout gear in her size at a reasonable price.

However, while Marks & Spencer's has plenty to choose from, she claims their offerings are practical but not fashionable.

Known online as @muinatabdul the YouTuber regularly shares plus-size fashion hauls and styling tips with her 7,500 followers.

In a new TikTok reel, she said: “Come plus-size shopping with me.

“I’m going to find out if I can find a plus-size gym outfit in my size, in my style, in M&S. Let’s go.”

During the 35-second video, Muinat shared her first impressions of some of the activewear she spotted in her local store.

First up – the Cotton Rich Zip Up Hoodie from their Goodmove collection, currently available online and in-store for £29.50.

“This is my size but it’s not my style and I wouldn’t wear this on a treadmill.”

The fashion fan also found two pairs of leggings in her size, including the Go Move Printed High Waisted Gym Leggings and the Go Move High Waisted 7/8 Gym Leggings, both currently £27.50.

She continued: “Again, I can find these in my size on the rack but these are not my style.

“Would this motivate you to go to the gym? I don’t think.”

However, she was a fan of the Goodmove High Waisted Shorts in beige, which will set shoppers back just £19.50.

“Super cute, love these. I would wear these to lounge about my house, but not to the gym.”

Holding up the Scoop Neck Relaxed Sleeveless Yoga Top, priced at £15, Muinat added: “So the stuff here is practical, function but come on, it’s not stylish. Let’s be honest.”

Fans loved her honest review, with the video gaining more than 1,100 likes and 23,100 views.

In the comments, other TikTokkers shared their reactions, with one writing: “I feel like your 1st mistake was going M&S. M&S is middle-aged women core. Even a skinny young person wouldn't find anything gd.”

Muinat replied: “I’ve found cute stuff in M&S before!!!!!!!!!”

“It's amazing how much pressure there is on plus size ppl to exercise and how few outfit options there are,” commented another.

A third added: “Better then nothing tbf.”
