A YOUNG plus-size woman who risked the ire of keyboard warriors when she tried on a body-skimming dress, has had an unexpected response.
There was an outpouring of love and compliments in reaction to her video, which has gone viral, with over 302,000 likes and another 11,000 comments.
An English content producer, flame-haired Elladonnelly_xo (@elladonnelly_xo) has a huge and loyal following all tuning in for her lifestyle tips, including fashion.
In a recent post, she titled, "Fat Girl Edition," Ella focussed on outfits that made her feel uncomfortable.
Her chosen item was a hot pink patterned dress by Shein.
“We haven’t had any dresses in the series so far purely because I am terrified of dresses for being a fat girl," she said.
It took courage to expose herself to potential body haters and trolls, but this gutsy young woman did it anyway.
“I will be judged for wearing a dress for being a fat girl," she said, "especially a dress like this anyway."
Ella explained she had got it extra big: "I got it in a 5XL because I wanted it really big so it wouldn’t show all my rolls and everything."
But she admitted to being "terrified" about trying it on.

A quick change and she emerged wearing the dress and it wasn't what she was looking for.
“I hate this outfit. It makes me look humongous. Yes, I know I’m fat so the people who are going to comment, 'Oh my God you look so fat,' I know that that’s why it’s called fat girl edition.
“But I hate it, I hate it. What do you think?”
Her question was answered in the thousands, and any shamers in there were drowned out by the kind, complimentary, and many more in awe of her confidence and bravery.
“Do you even realize how beautiful you are??" was the opinion of one, and there were many more like it.
She inspired hundreds: “The confidence you have given me, I will forever be grateful.”
“It takes a lot to be this brave and put yourself out there like that. You’re a very beautiful girl," was the affirming view of this fan.
