A SUPERMARKET employee has listed the five different types of card users – so which one are you?
Long gone are the days when people used cash to pay for their shopping – the rise of technology has seen a major surge in those opting for contactless card payments.
But whilst the concept – tap and go – is relatively straightforward, one shopping whizz, from Canada, has revealed that not everyone knows how to use the method.
In a video shared on TikTok, the employee, who works at No Frills, said there were five different ways she's observed people are tapping their cards.

Like the name suggests, this shopper will place their card directly onto the reader and aggressively bend in hopes for a faster payment.
Just as eager to leave the store is the butterfly – they will flip the card at an impressive speed until the money finally leaves their account.
But although the contactless option has been around for a few years now, there are some people struggling with the device.
Holding their card, they'll look at the reader trying to figure out where to tap.

More techs-savvy, however, is the generation of Apple pay fans – they'll complete the payment so quick, the store employees can barely spot them before they're out of the shop.
Meanwhile, taking a tad bit longer and not particularly rushing anywhere is the hover – they'll fly the card up and down not really touching the screen.

Last but not least – the confused one.
Stuck in the past, this shopper will attempt to use their card in numerous ways – none of which are quite working.
Hundreds of social media users flocked to comments to reveal which description fits them the best.
''apple pay for me. but as a cashier the different ways people try to use tap irritates me so much,'' said a fellow employee.
''Or the people who tap for a .0000002 seconds and wonder why it didn’t go through'' added another.
''I just place the card anywhere on the machine and rub around until the beep,'' another wrote.
