Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos' 'stubbornness' makes good-for-TV 'fiery moments' but could be their downfall, says expert | The Sun

KELLY Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos have a "strong attraction" and potential for a great relationship, according to a compatibility expert.

However, the pro says the duo have stubbornness in common, and while it could lead to "fiery moments," it could also be their "downfall."

After 27 years of marriage, the former All My Children co-stars are now working together full-time once again.

Mark, 51, is joining Kelly, 52, as a cohost on Live upon Ryan Seacrest's departure from the show.

Michelle Bell, founder of Cosmic Fusion, says that as a love match, Kelly and Ryan are super compatible.

In fact, they clock in at 78 percent compatibility in her app, which combines a person's Western zodiac sign, Chinese element, and Chinese animal.

But their signs — Kelly is a Libra Metal Dog, while Mark is an Aries Metal Pig — also mean they're both quite stubborn.

And while that's great for TV and will likely mean a lot of must-tune-in moments, it could also mean trouble.

"Aries (Mark) and Libra (Kelly) are opposite signs in the zodiac, which can create a strong attraction and a potential for a great and sparky relationship," Bell told The U.S. Sun.

"However, they also have some inherent differences that might cause some challenges."

According to Bell, if the couple can "balance their different needs and desires," then they can continue to "work well" together.

"Aries can provide adventure and spontaneity, while Libra can provide tranquillity and peace," she explained.

Bell revealed that Kelly's cosmic combination means she is a "contradictory" person who is family-oriented.

While the talk show host is "strong" and "charming," she can also be "insecure" and "sensitive."

"They need a soulmate like the rest of us need oxygen, they just don't really function on their own particularly well," Bell explained.

On the other hand, Mark's combination reveals that he is a "fundamentally happy character" who is prone to self-indulgent tendencies.

"This combo likes to work hard and then treat itself to the decadent side of life, as a reward for its sterling efforts," Bell said.

"Aries/Metal combination. It's feisty and sensitive, which is tricky. They'll dish it out and then overreact unnecessarily when others reciprocate.

"And the reason they do this is because they really aren't as strong as they purport to be."

Both Kelly and Mark share the same metal element, meaning "they’re both equally determined, ambitious, disciplined, organized, determined, firm, and have the urge to win."

Neither partner is a pushover and is likely to stand their ground when it comes down to it.

Bell explained: "Their downfall is their stubbornness, neither of them like to back down, so they’ll definitely have their sparky and fiery moments, which will make for great TV."

However, the couple may also be well suited when it comes to family and romance.

"The Pig's (Mark) warmth and emotional openness can make the Dog (Kelly) feel secure and appreciated," Bell said.

She continued: "The Dog's protective nature and loyalty can provide the Pig with a sense of stability and safety.

"However, the Pig's love for socializing, indulging, and entertaining can sometimes clash with the Dog's need for privacy and solitude."

Bell concluded that Mark may find Kelly to be "too serious or overly critical," while the TV host veteran may find her husband's "easygoing and go-with-the-flow nature" to be "a bit careless."

Bell's app is available on Apple and Android devices.
