EVERYONE is trying to find ways to dry their clothes and towels without using the tumble dryer as energy bills rise.

And fortunately, plenty of people are sharing their favourite tips and hacks to do so.

Towels can take up to 24 hours to dry indoors without using the tumble dryer, reports the Express.

But Mrs Hinch fans have come to the rescue revealing their top tips to make clothes dry inside quicker during the winter months.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 32, has long been a favourite amongst fellow cleaning enthusiasts, with close to 4.5 million followers on Instagram.

The star rose to fame a few years ago with various home hacks and now her fans have even started dedicated cleaning pages on social media.

Mum shares hack to dry clothes without tumble dryer using only a bed sheet

In one such group, a woman asked how to dry clothes and towels inside without using a dehumidifier.

She asked: “Tips on drying towels and clothes when they can't be dried outside, please. I haven't got room for a dehumidifier.”

The post received more than 600 replies with cleaning fans sharing their top tips, which included putting them on an extra spin cycle to reduce water left in the clothes.

One wrote: "Extra spin, put what clothes need to be on hangers and hang them up at the window with the window open. Put the rest on the airer and put that at the window. Towels I tend to put over the door.”

Another person commented: "I do three spins with each load. I have a three floor house and dining room so put clothes to dry everywhere.

"[They’re] dry by the next morning. Bath towels dry over banisters and put in tumble dryer for 10 minutes. Will soften the towels as they come out rough."

A third suggested: "Extra spin on the washing machine then on hangers over door frames upstairs and on the shower rail."

"I extra spin then mostly on coat hangers on shower rail and over banister for bedding and towels," added a fourth.

A fifth claimed: "With towels I usually give them an extra spin or two before hanging them out. The more space in the washing machine drum the better."
