Mum-of-22 Sue Radford shares the chaos of taking Britain’s biggest family away & how they all pack into their motorhome | The Sun

IT'S chaotic enough trying to get kids showered and ready for bed when you're on holiday.

But imagine having to do that with 22 kids – and in a motorhome.

That's the situation Sue Radford found herself in as she and husband Noel took their motorhome away for the night.

The family had been hoping to get away in the vehicle, which they purchased earlier this year, last weekend – but ended up having to cancel their plans when it wouldn't start.

However, after taking it to a mechanic, it was all fixed and given a new battery, with Sue smiling: "It's working brilliantly.

"They've tested it and put a new battery on it and it's all good, which is absolutely fantastic."

She added that she "wasn't sure" if the family were going to get away in their motorhome that evening because it was forecasted to rain, but said: "It would be quite nice to get away in it tonight."

The vlog then cut to Noel, who said that they'd made the decision to get away in the motorhome – just as it started raining.

The weather didn't detract from their night away though, as the massive family head to their favourite campsite.

The younger kids sat in their camping chairs while Noel and daughter Katie set up the awning, before they went on an explore of the site, including a walk in the woods and a play in the park.

Katie was also in charge of trying to get the Wifi to work in the van, and admitted that she'd got it to work on her phone, but was struggling to do so on the television.

Noel then got to work setting up a barbecue to cook the family's dinner – with enough sausages to feed the entire brood.

Eldest daughter Millie, who has now moved out of the family home, was on the night away too – alongside daughter Ophelia and son Chester.

Following dinner, Sue took on the chaotic task of getting her "filthy" kids showered – using the motorhome shower for the very first time.

Afterwards, she said that the shower had been "really really good" but the soapy water wasn't draining away because the motorhome was "leaning" as there was so many people in it.

Once the kids were all "nice and clean and ready for bed", Sue started doing them a hot chocolate each, as they began getting into their respective beds.

As well as beds set up in the awning, the back of the motorhome was turned into a huge bed that the younger kids slept in, while Sue and Noel were with youngest daughter Heidie on the slightly claustrophobic top bunk.

The vlog ended with Noel trying to get his sons off their tablets, as some of the younger children settled down to sleep.
