My easy, cheesy holiday appetizer looks like a Christmas tree and I'm obsessed – it's so good, the mozzarella oozes out | The Sun

CHRISTMAS meals shouldn't be high maintenance, said one chef.

Not only should they be easy, but they should also be cheesy, she said.

Yumna (@feelgoodfoodie) shared her recipe in a video with over 1.9 million TikTok followers.

She revealed that one of her go-to appetizers was melt-in-your-mouth goodness with the help of a little mozzarella.

"Take some mozzarella sticks and cut them into fourths then roll out some pizza dough and cut that into 32 pieces," she explained.

After the dough was properly sectioned off into 32 squares and corners, she placed a mozzarella bite into the center.

"Season with Italian seasoning and roll each one into a dough ball," she said.

Last but not least, for a festive touch, she assembled the dough balls into the shape of a Christmas tree and brushed the balls with egg wash.

"Bake at 400 degrees for about 16 minutes until they're golden on top and the cheese starts to ooze out of them," she said.

She paired the simple appetizer with some Parsley, parmesan, and a side of marinara sauce.
