My favorite Home Depot gardening trick will fix your patchy grass – I 10/10 recommend, you don't even have to buy it | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed the gardening trick that she hopes will fix annoying patchy grass areas in her backyard.

She used a special tool that she didn't even have to buy and ended up rating its efficiency a top ten out of ten.

Gardening hacks are not the usual preserve of Elizabeth (@honestlyelizabeth).

Ordinarily, this make-up artist's TikTok content is all about "fashion, hair, travel, and girl talk.”

In the process, she has built up a huge following of over 179,000 plus another 962,000 likes.

But this post was all about the state of her lawn and it was bugging her. There was a solution, however, she said.

“Do you have patchy grass? That’s all dead grass," she said as she pointed out the dry areas of her lawn.

She and her husband had found an effective way of fixing their grass problem.

“My husband rented [sic] a power rake [from] Home Depot. And you see, he’s using the power rake all over our entire lawn to pull up the dead grass so we can lay new grass seed."

She was excited by the promise of more verdant, healthier grass. “It’ll take root, which it wasn’t able to because of all the dead grass, so that’s gonna help our yard look more green."

As far as she was concerned, this garden tool made all the difference, and gave it a "10 out of 10 recommend a power rake."

It was just like using a lawn mower she said. “The power rake from Home Depot was really easy to use. It actually pulls up thatching and dead, rooted grass.”

"It did not harm our healthy grass it just rips up the dead grass. And then we just rake over the top and we plant grass seed.”

She urged viewers to stay in touch with future updates on her grass regrowth. "Hopefully we’ll be able to grow beautiful healthy grass.”

Commenters were impressed and her post certainly motivated at least one householder to try the power rake out.

“Well I need that asap," said this viewer. "Our yard is not the best right now. Thank you for this.”

The final commenter looked forward to seeing the effects as a result of the useful tool: “I can't wait to see what your results are from the power rake.”
