My 'lazy girl' hack will jumpstart your gym routine – following my secret formula takes care of 90% of the battle | The Sun

A HELPFUL fitness enthusiast has shed the effects of post-partum and now wants to help others kickstart their gym routine.

She has shared her secret formula that will eliminate 90 percent of the battle to begin.

In her video, Ashie Adams (@ashieadams) revealed the recipe for becoming a gym girly.

Despite what some may think, the biggest struggle in beginning a strict fitness regimen comes before the actual workout.

"Actually getting to the gym is 90 percent of the battle," Ashie admitted.

"So you have to treat the action of getting to the gym and the action of working out as two completely separate habits."

When it comes to getting to the facility, the factors include: waking up early, finding a time, putting on workout clothes, and leaving the house.

But for the actual exercise, you need motivation and the right program.

"One can not exist without the other," Ashie proclaimed.

The fitness fan's formula focuses on getting to the gym for the first 30 days.

The actual exercise doesn't matter during that time as long as you find yourself at the facility consistently.

"It doesn't even matter if you get out of the car and go inside the gym," Ashie said.

However, if you do go inside, you can take it easy.

"Once you're there, you're usually able to figure out something."

Starting a regimen is overwhelming, so Ashie recommends taking it slow and finding an initial motivation.

You can practice waking up early and not even going too.

Ashie's point is to break up the tasks to make them all more manageable for you in the long run.

If you start by just walking on the treadmill for the first month, you can scope out the other areas.

Ashie said: "The gym itself will become significantly less intimidating and scary.

"If you're going to be going to the gym for the rest of your life, it's worth it to take that first month and really solidify that habit."

Ashie explained how consistency is key, and any exercise done consistently will put you in good shape.

Her followers agreed with her thought-out formula, admitting they'd struggled to get to the gym.
