My mom swore by seven tips for a clean home – including how to make your carpet smell amazing | The Sun

A WOMAN has expressed gratitude to her mom for teaching her how to clean her home properly.

She has now whittled her mom's lessons down to seven tips that will leave your house tip top and the carpet smelling amazing.

“Happy cleaning day," said Ena (@enasholivia) breezily in her post. "Today I’m feeling extra grateful because of the amazing women in my life, especially my amazing mother who taught me how to clean."

Ena is a popular lady on her TikTok, where her content is structured around “soft life and fitness," and has attracted over 634,000 followers and another 18.4 million likes.

Her house cleaning video was a detour from her usual posts but she wanted to share what she had been taught. "So here are my mama’s seven tips to a clean home," she wrote.

“So rule number one is scrub those sinks and use a sink scrub. After you’ve done with the dishes dry the sink with a dish towel."

Next up it was the turn of floor coverings. “Tip two is applying carpet powder while you’re sweeping and mopping and sprinkle a little bit of carpet powder on your couch."

She zoomed in on kitchen appliances next. “Tip number three, do not forget to clean your microwave and the turntable inside of it."

Her fourth tip introduced a lovely aroma to your home. “Add a scented sachet to a bagless vacuum to fill the room with that scent."

Her suggestion for cleaning your plastic shower curtain, tip number five, was to add bleach and give it a bit of elbow grease.
