My mum got ENGAGED at my wedding – trolls say she stole the attention from me but I loved it | The Sun

A BRIDE has shared that her mum got ENGAGED at her wedding.

And while the bride has said she loved it, social media trolls are accusing the mum of stealing the attention away from the happy couple.

Posting to TikTok, bride Chloe Robinson shared a clip of the flower toss at her wedding.

In the video she can be seen about to throw the flowers, before instead turning around and handing them to her mum.

Then her mum’s partner gets on one knee, with a ring, and proposes to her, much to the excitement of Chloe and all the guests.

Captioning the clip, Chloe wrote “Dear Mum, it’s your time now.”

The video has since racked up an impressive 1.2 million views, and while most have loved the happy clip, others have instead criticised the mother, and her partner.

Some judged the mother for what she wore, with one writing: “Ok but why did the mum wear white to her daughters wedding?”

And others suggested that only the bride should be in white.

Although other commenters were quick to defend this, pointing out that the bride was clearly okay with this, and it’s not really anyone else’s business.

As the video went viral it was dueted by a number of other TikTokers giving their views on proposals at weddings.

With one saying: “This is a really beautiful video, but if you ever ever ever tried to propose to someone at my wedding, you are dead, I will kill you with my bare hands.”

One commenter said that proposing at someone else’s wedding is “truly the most selfish play ever.”

However, plenty of people have pointed out that Chloe was clearly involved in the planning of this moment and was completely fine with it.

On the original video one viewer wrote: “So not a ‘not on MY day’, ‘no kids rule’, ‘it’s all about me’…kind of bride 🥰 Beautiful. What a day to spread the love. Congratulations all.”
