My nightmare neighbours let their screaming children play in garden till late, kick footballs at my fence & answer back | The Sun

A MAN explained that he was furious with his next door neighbours who blast music, allow their children to kick their football against his fence and park over his driveway.

He explained that their four children are allowed to run riot around the garden until 9pm so he isn't able to sit outdoors in peace.

He also said that they show complete disrespect to their parents.

Taking to Mumsnet, he said: "The neighbours next door to me, have no consideration at all, they only care about themselves.

"They have four kids who are out until 9pm in the garden, they scream shout, answer back and show utter disrespect, the parents can't control them.

"They have in the garden, a hot tub, goal net, the kids bang footballs against my fence all the time, they do not care if I am sitting out.

One person said: "In my experience neighbours like this don't change. They don't need to. You could fight fire with fire or you could move."

Another said: "On reflection, I would just move."

A third said: "I would just move too. The complaints my friend has made though completely justified will make it very hard for her to sell in future."

Other suggested that there maybe other courses of action.

One said: "Get the landlord's details from Land Registry (£3, instant download) and write, setting out all of their antisocial behaviour.

"Tell the landlord that you will be complaining to the council if the problem isn't sorted by X date.

"Or if you would like to move and have nothing declarable on record, put your house on the market."

Another said: "Two options; first tackle them head on and show them that they are not in charge and make them afraid to mess with you (I appreciate for most people this is not a good route), its long and hard and will test you.

"Second just do your best to ignore and move as soon as you can.

"I'm afraid people like this will take every advantage and will see ignoring and backing down as a weakness, usually attempts to talk them will be seen as challenge and make them worse unless you can win.

"Unless you stop them, and risk a war you can succeed in my advice is to move or just hope they do."
