My parents built me a tiny home in their yard so I didn't need to move out – people are very jealous | The Sun

SOME parents will do anything to keep their kids close – and for one couple, building a tiny home did just the trick.

Why worry about rent when the 'rents gift you home ownership in a small, but stylish space.

The very envied tiny home resident Mckean Matson (@mckeanmatson) responded to a fellow TikToker who had a simple request for her parents to build him one as well.

Unlike Mckean, this follower's kin couldn't wait to kick him out – he even offered to help around the house.

"I'm glad you brought this up because my parents actually have two tiny houses on the property. So I'm going to walk over and show you," responded Mckean who seemed in no rush to move out any longer.

She showed off her rather spacious porch which also featured a bench – so she could gaze out at the rest of the property which she explained had turned into a mini compound.

The young homeowner pointed out her parents' larger home as well as the other tiny house which could be seen through the bushes.

"So this had been the road that I would just drive down to then park in front of my house but I don't like parking in the sun, so I don't park there anymore," she said showing off the dirt path.

But with the expanded tiny home development, she now had plenty of parking space to choose from.

She also gave followers a look at the outside of the more rustic-looking rented property and gave some additional background info on the home.

And so the exciting residential expansion began: "From there we decided to build me a tiny house."

Many of her tiny home fan followers were jealous of her unique living accommodations.

"Wished my lil family would get together and do this. It's really a great idea," one wishful-thinking viewer commented.

I'm otw to move in," another follower joked about packing up her bags and already being on the way to joining the tiny commune.
