THE supermarket shelves are lined with hundreds and hundreds of washing products.

But have you ever wondered what the difference is between biological and non-biological washing powder?



Well, one women took to TikTok to explain, beginning her video: "Do you know the difference between Non-Bio and Bio washing up powder? 

"Bio detergent contains enzymes that help to break down common stains, such as food."

Non-biological washing powders do not contain these enzymes.

"If you have sensitive skin (eczema, psoriasis) or have young children, this is what Non-Bio is for," she added.

"How many people know this?"

And the comments section was quickly filled with people admitting they hadn't known the difference before watching the video.

"I never knew why they were different but always buy non bio for some reason," one wrote.

"The universe sent me this tiktok," another added.

"In my head I thought it was non biodegradable, outside my head zero effort to research."

"Learnt something new!" a third commented.

"I thought it was the difference between coloured clothes and dark coloured clothes," someone else admitted.

"The irony being the children are the ones with the sensitive skin and the ones to have stains on their clothes," another wrote.

While someone else sighed: "That's so annoying because kids always have the worst stains and need the bio enzymes."
