IF your plants have become a feast for bugs, there is an easy way to save them.
A green-thumbed influencer has revealed the two companion plants she swears by for protecting your garden.
The TikTok user, who goes by The Home Collective (@thehomecollective), explained that the tick population where she resides in Arizona had increased by 60 percent in the past year.
"Since we had so much rain last year, we just have a spew of pests that we’re not used to dealing with," she said in her video.
The TikToker continued: "So I am making a natural pest barrier to be the first line of defense in my yard."
The gardening enthusiast showed her viewers the plants she was adding to her flowerbed to deter insects.
"Rosemary and lavender are two common scents that pests really just hate so I got my pots and I started planting them," she explained.
The content creator continued: "I’m going to be putting these around the whole perimeter of my fence to act as that first line of defense against them."
She gave viewers a glimpse of the process as she prepared pots and added the herbs to them.
The TikToker pointed out an additional benefit to the companion plants.

"They’re so cute and they smell so good," she said as she showed viewers the colorful plants.
She also revealed other herbs which can be used to repel pests from your plants.
In the clip's caption, she wrote: "Rosemary, lavender, peppermint, and citronella are just some of the plants you can use as a natural pest repellent."
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the hack.
"Get some Mexican marigold super aromatic and works well for the mosquitos too," suggested one viewer.
Another follower said: "Lemon grass works on mosquitoes great. I wonder if it helps with ticks."
"My Rosemary plants are huge now. My Bostons are always looking for lizards in them. The dogs smell terrific now," wrote a third person.
