Queen Letizia shows off figure with £174 ‘daring’ backless dress

Queen Letizia, 50, and her husband King Felipe, 54, stepped out on Monday evening at the Premiere Opera Aida in Madrid. The mother of two stunned in a £174 backless dress that looked mesmerising on Letizia.

The 50-year-old wore the “Paris dress” from the brand Miphai, which is described as “a navy blue party dress made of crepe”.

The skirt of the dress has a “large ruffle that provides a lot of flight when walking”, and the back of the dress is described as “open, with a spectacular neckline”.

Like all Miphai products, this dress is reported to be designed and made fully in Spain. The dress has a midi cut and three-quarter length sleeves which suited Queen Letizia perfectly.

This was a new purchase by the Queen of Spain who has not been seen wearing this design before.

Letizia accessorised with showy earrings, which looked perfect thanks to the Queen’s updo, a messy bun with a parting in the middle. Made of sterling silver and finished in rhodium, they feature cut teardrop-shaped stones in sapphire and champagne.

The best thing is their price because you can get them for 98 Euros, or roughly £86 in British Sterling. They are the Juliette model from the Sibela brand, which is the first time Queen Letizia wore a piece of jewellery from this company.

Sibela is jewellery created by Isabel Peña. As the fourth generation of one of the most important jewellery families in the country, “he wanted his creative vision to focus on paying tribute to the women in his life, the same ones who have inspired his passion.

“Under the name of Sibela, the jeweller creates a new brand that combines the letters of his own name and that of his mother, María Isabel. But also that of his great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother”, it says on his website.

These earrings are now sold out, no doubt because of their popularity after being seen on Queen Letizia.

Letizia opted to wear shoes by Magrit, specifically a pair of metallic slingbacks with a built-in platform.

The Queen teamed her stylish outfit with a classy and elegant envelope clutch bag.

Never missing from Queen Letizia’s style, she wore her iconic Karen Hallam ring.

The gold-plated sterling silver ring is from Karen Hallam, a Spanish brand set up by a designer originally from London.

The ‘Signature Ring’ as it is known, is sold from anywhere from £93 to £724, depending on the size of ring you purchase.

Royal fans will see the Queen again on Thursday in Oviedo, at the concert prior to the Princess of Asturias Awards. The King, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía will also attend this act prior to the awards.

On Friday morning, the family of four will receive the winners with an audience and at 6pm the ceremony will be held, in which Princess Leonor will deliver a speech, as she has been doing since 2019.

Royal fans loved Letizia’s style on Monday evening and took to social media to praise the Queen of Spain.

Twitter user @silviataules said: “I love.”

Meanwhile, @anuskigt tweeted: “Very daring.”

Another fan, @RegalFille added: “Queen Letizia of Spain once again chose another gorgeous blue outfit for the Royal Theatre opening.”
