Savvy mum’s homemade snack that saves her £46 on family trip to cinema | The Sun

A CLEVER mum has revealed how she saves over £40 on a family trip to the cinema by prepping yummy snacks.

The woman, called Casey, shared in a video on TikTok how she had packed cheesy nachos and hot dogs before heading in to see a film.

In the post, the mum encouraged viewers to "stop spending so much money" on pricey cinema food.

She can be seen in the clip prepping snacks to take to the cinema instead, which saved a total of £46.80 just on cheesy nachos and hot dogs alone.

Casey added: "We also took all of our own drinks and sweets and always save over £70 a time!

"If you go to the cinema five times a year, you could be saving £350! Save yourself money over the holidays, cinema days don’t have to cost you a fortune."

The thrifty mum revealed that she had prepped the topping for the nachos with eight slices of burger cheese mixed with 100ml of milk.

Casey popped it in the microwave for one minute and then stirred, before putting it on for a further 30 seconds.

Finally, you need to add a sprinkle of normal cheddar cheese and add to the microwave for a further 15 seconds.

She recommended pouring it into flask, which you have previously warmed up with boiling water, and then packing ready to add to Doritos and Mexican salsa dip inside the cinema.

The mum then explained how she added cooked hot dog sausages to a pre-heated flask before packing them with hot dog rolls.
