With stunning Kate, Princess of Wales as her mum, it’s no wonder little Princess Charlotte always looks adorable.
The eight-year-old Princess rocks everything from shorts to dresses to jeans – and has even matched with Kate on occasion.
Personal stylist Melissa Lund spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the Princess’ best look to date, a “personal favourite” that might surprise royal fans.
While Princess Charlotte does look sweet and just like a mini-me of Kate in her more formal dresses and skirts, the stylist’s top pick was a casual shorts and jumper combo.
On May 6, 2023, Charlotte stepped out in Slough at the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut for the Big Help Out, a day when people are encouraged to volunteer in their communities.

On this day the young Princess tried her hand and archery wearing a dark pink jumper, denim shorts and trainers.
But with Charlotte stepping out in incredible outfits over the years, for example a dress and coordinating cape by Alexander McQueen for the King’s Coronation – why is this more laidback look a stylist’s dream?
Melissa called this look a “personal fave because [Charlotte’s] having a lot of fun”.

Speaking about the “casual” attire, she added: “I love this because she looks like any other little girl having fun, rather than a young royal who must usually have to be on best behaviour (can’t be easy in the public eye!).”
Charlotte’s jumper was the Cable-Knit Cashmere Jumper in Terra Rose by Ralph Lauren.
For royal fans who want to recreate the look on their kids or grandkids, it’s currently retailing at £149.50 down from £299.
Its official description reads: “Our iconic cable-knit jumper is made from cashmere sourced from one of Italy’s most legendary mills and is finished with hand-linked shoulders.”
Underneath this, she wore a pastel pink top and paired the look with some distressed denim shorts which boasted an edgy fray at the bottom.
Little Charlotte also rocked some very affordable trainers, priced at just £20 from Next.
These were predominantly white with a big pink star decoration and some sparkles on the back of the shoe.
