Stylist says one of Meghan Markle’s ‘best’ looks was at sombre event – claim

Meghan Markle has been a style icon for over a decade, from her days on Suits to her time as a royal.

She excels on the red carpet in fabulous ball gowns, but equally stuns in more casual daytime wear.

Personal stylist Melissa Lund told Express.co.uk: “Meghan’s a very attractive woman and she’s got a good body, with great arms and shoulders and fab legs.

“Living in the public eye and not using a stylist, she sometimes has a few fashion fails, but there are many times when she gets it just right.

“I think most of us would have our share of fails if we were under that level of scrutiny the whole time.”

One time Meghan got it totally right though, according to the stylist, was at Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral back in September 2022, where she sported one of her “best” looks to date.

The Duchess is great at experimenting with different colours and styles, adding quirky accessories to her looks.

However, September 19, 2022 was about honouring the incredible late monarch, which called for very respectful, sombre attire.

Meghan’s black dress, featuring a cape, was a Stella McCartney design, and fell just below the knee.

She paired the dress with a pair of sheer black tights, with royal women typically not going sans pantyhose.

Commenting on Meghan’s dress choice, Melissa commented: “Great shape, nice fit and very elegant.”

The Duchess accessorised with a wide-brimmed black hat by Stephen Jones for Dior and a pair of black gloves.

For footwear, Meghan opted for a pair of Stuart Weitzman Black Tippi Pumps.

Touchingly, Meghan wore a pair of diamond and pearl stud earrings gifted to her by the late Queen in 2018.

According to Insider these were a gift to mark the Queen and Meghan’s first solo outing together.
