SAVVY mums are already buying Christmas presents as many have discovered that July is the best time to get yuletide-ready thanks to summer sales.
The hot weather might make it feel impossible to think about Santa’s next visit, but stocking up now could save you hundreds.
Taking to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, a number of mums and nans have shared their premature Christmas purchases.
That includes Michelle Bates, who unearthed a sale on Barbie dolls in her local ASDA.
The shelves were lined with pristine dolls going for as cheap as £3.25.
“This will be perfect for Christmas if my little girl still loves Barbie,” one mum commented.

“This is so good for Christmas,” another penned.
In ASDA’s Farnworth Bolton store, one soon-to-be nan “saved herself a fortune” on baby clothes for her grandchild due this Christmas.
She picked up a three-piece giraffe dressing gown and pyjamas set for £4, a set of two baby grows for £2.50 and a two-pack of sleeping vests for £3.75.
“I’ve been the same,” another mum commented on the post.

July is a traditional month for brands to run sales as they flog as much summer stock as possible before autumn stock starts creeping in.
A savvy American mum took to TikTok to affirm that summer sales are when she pounces for Christmas presents and finds it the best month of the year for discounts on toys.
“Every single year, I do most of my kids' Christmas shopping in July because this is the time of year when they have the most toy clearance,” Coupons With Alysia said.
She shared a number of Lol Doll, Jurassic Park, Thomas & Friends and Nerf toys that were slashed by more than half price.
However, deals and items available will be different in the UK.
“Remember that clearance always varies by store,” she concluded.
“But just go see what your Walmart has.”
