The outfits worn by the Royal Family have fascinated the world throughout the years, from the Queen’s brightly coloured outfits to Kate Middleton’s stylish pieces.
It is thought that Her Majesty stuck to brightly coloured outfits so that she could be seen in a busy crowd.
The Queen also wore her three-strand pearl necklace and earrings so much that it became part of her official uniform.
Do other members of the Royal Family have to follow any protocol?
According to royal expert Victoria Arbiter, women must wear tights with their outfits.
She said the rule is “the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of the Queen requires”.
However, it has been broken by various different family members including both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
It is also thought that the Queen preferred skirts and dresses to be cut on the knee or just below.

As well as this, family members should have a black outfit on standby as well as pack one every time they go abroad.
This is in case any unexpected deaths occur when they’re travelling abroad that require them to attend a funeral.
Royal tradition also dictates that crowns and tiaras are reserved for married women or royal brides.
This means it would have been highly unlikely for Kate or Meghan to have worn one before they married their husbands.
As etiquette expert Grant Harrold told the BBC: “For married ladies [a tiara was traditionally] a sign of status and would show you were taken and not looking for a husband.
“For the gentlemen it was a clear sign not to make advances towards the lady in question.”
In recent years, Royal Family members including Kate and William have been seen wearing more casual clothing.
However, there is still a dress code to adhere to when dressing casually and being seen in public.
For royal women this includes wearing a smart day dress or trousers teamed with a jacket or cardigan.
For men it is a blazer or a collared shirt and chinos.
Diana Mather, a senior tutor for The English Manner etiquette consultancy, said: “Many places will not allow jeans as they are still seen as very casual wear, so it is better to play safe for both sexes.
“But if the Duchess is outside walking the dogs for example, then jeans are fine.”
What will members of the Royal Family wear to the Queen’s funeral?
Traditionally, black outfits are required with women in dresses and fascinators or hats with men wearing suits or black mourning coats.
