We bought a new home only to discover the previous residents had left all their dirty dishes under the floor | The Sun

MOVING into a new house can sometimes be a difficulty, but this was especially true for one couple, who made a rather shocking discovery in the new home.

Happy couple Junior and Kenzie have been updating their TikTok followers as they go along renovating their new home.

But one recent video reveals a rather disgusting discovery they made.

Captioning the clip “our new house came with a little present” they shared that they discovered that the previous residents had stuffed the floor vents full of their dirty dishes.

While at first it was unclear why the previous owners would do this, many in the comment section had some theories: “People with dementia think that other people are stealing from them so they hide their stuff,” wrote one.

Another argued: “prob some kid that wasn't bothered to do their chores lol.”

A relative cleared up what happened, writing: “We finally got info from neighbours. It was an elderly couple who had tweaker grandkids living with them and completely taking advantage of them.”

With that cleared up somewhat, commenters were still disgusted at the sheer amount of dishes that were hidden.

“I actually feel genuinely nauseous seeing this” wrote one TikToker.

Another asked: “You bought this house? Did you not visit before buying?”

To which the couple replied: “ We visited before buying. We knew it was a fixer upper and planned on gutting it. We’re 18&20 and don’t want to rent so we bought a cheap house.”

They did add that there had been a strange smell in the house, which now seems to have been solved.

One user even shared that they’re former housemate used to do something similar: “I lived with somebody and their kids did this and they didn’t care. They were more angry that I was tattling on their children.”
