We built a tiny home out of a 39ft bus, it's got a full shower, and four beds – and cost us less than a house deposit | The Sun

A COUPLE has shared they have been living in a tiny home they built from an old 38ft bus for £28,000.

The bus has a working shower, apartment size kitchen woodfire oven and can comfortably sleep up to six people.

Devin and Bree who go by @BasicallyNomads shared a video tour of their tiny home on YouTube.

They said: “We're Devin Bree and this that's our 39 foot tiny home. Come take a tour of what we've been living in for the past four years; it's currently doubling as our beach house.”

When you first enter the bus you’ll find the pair have convenient cupboards for extra shoe storage.

Next to the shoe storage Devin and Bree placed a cat flat which leads to a litter box for their cat.

Behind the bus seat the pair have their lounge area, but their sofas are a lot more than they seem.

Devin said: “[A] double couch setup that we've got right across from one another because even though this looks like a normal couch setup this actually turns into a couple different things.”

Underneath each sofa is extra storage space, a heater to get through tough winters as well as a foldable table which they use when they are hosting friends.

Devin said: “[It] kind of flips up into a table area where we can host multiple people probably comfortably around six.”

Conveniently the table also helps the sofa transform into a daybed when Devin and Bree feel like lounging or they have guests.

The pair have two desks where they can work, one features a 34 inch Ultra wide monitor, which also doubles as a TV when Devin and Bree feel like watching Netflix.

Devin explained his desk was custom built with a walnut oak finish.

Moving on to the kitchen The couple has a cubic mini wood burning stove which helps to keep things warm when things get cold.

They also have a four burner gas stove and vent. Bree said they made use of the under the countertop storage space which stores a food processor and a toaster.

She said: “Under here this is actually really cool because Devin built these custom drawers they're actually really nice and this gave us vertical storage in here which we would have never had if he didn't do.”

Bree and Devin store their food in pantry cupboards as well as a full size fridge.

Their bathroom has a composting toilet, a fully tiled shower, with a sitting bench underneath a rainfall shower head.

Bree said: “What's cool about this bench is it also doubles as storage.”

The pair have two bunk beds for friends and family when they want to come travelling which actually has storage space underneath the bunks.
