What are liquidation return pallets?

Liquidation return pallets are a box full of inventory which cannot be sold on in the regular store.

Many retailers, for a variety of reasons, do not resell items which can cause a backlog of old inventory, from John Lewis to beauty returns pallets.

The pallets allow companies to sell mass amounts of unsellable items, which generates some income and helps get rid of bulk goods.

Buyers can purchase these return pallets with the hopes of find products that have no faults, minimal damage, or is repairable.

Some people make a living out of refurbishing goods from return pallets.

On average, online returns alone cost UK retailers £5.2billion a year, according to PaymentSense's annual report.

The data, released in December 2021, showed "serial refunders" cost UK small businesses an average of £15,600 a month.
