A MUM has shared a life-changing hack to teach children how to tie their shoelaces quickly and easily.
Tara took to her Instagram to share a Reel, as she began by explaining she's been receiving emails from her son's school saying that it's a "requirement" for them to be able to tie their laces by his age.
"Well, my son can’t, which means every week I feel like that email is directed to me," she said.
"It’s not that we haven’t been trying.
"We try every night and it usually ends up in tears from me or him.
"We’ve done the bunny ears, we’ve done ring around the tree, take the bunny through the hole, we’ve tried everything, rhymes, songs, it all, and it hasn’t worked.

"So here comes my hack. I’m going to show you the easiest way to teach your kid to tie their shoe."
Demonstrating, she said that "most kids who are ready to tie shoes" know how to do the first tie, before they make the bunny ears, or move onto the next step.
"But they don’t even have to do it," she said.
"All you’re going to have them do is put the plastic thing in the side of each of their shoes, in the little hole, so it kind of holds it in place."

She then took each lace and put the end of it through the hole at the top of the shoe, nearest the tongue.
Once that's done on each side, the child can take each loop and tie them together once, and then twice.
"Ten they can just pull that out. Are you serious? It’s done!" she grinned.
"Boom! Life hack unlocked!" she captioned her Reel.
And other parents were quick to praise her for the game changing hack in the comments section.

"Gonna try this with my 1st grader who isn’t there yet."
