She’s known for her skills on the pitch, but Alex Scott proved she’s just as talented when it comes to fashion during the Euro 2022 coverage.

The BBC pundit, 37, who previously played for Arsenal and the Lionesses, wore an array of stylish ensembles costing at least £2,828 when presenting for the broadcaster throughout the tournament.

On Sunday’s final, she donned a glamorous floral Dolce & Gabbana, while also sporting another piece from the Italian luxury fashion house – a figure-hugging red dress with quarter-length sleeves and a flattering round neckline – earlier in the Euros.

Elsewhere, during the weekend of the final she kicked off the celebrations in a Serena Bute London outfit when hosting an opening party at the Heineken Greener Bar at The Truman Brewery.

She teamed the £245 Serena fitted shirt with the matching purple and neon green £295 wide leg jogger.

When watching England demolish Norway 8-0 to seal a quarter-final spot, the professional athlete oozed sophistication as she caught the eye in a £350 pink knitted co-ord from Self Portrait.

Flashing a hint of her toned midriff, Alex’s clinging high-waisted buttoned midi skirt accentuated her slender waist and gave her an hourglass appearance.

Her brunette locks were styled in loose curls with a side parting and she opted for a full face of glamorous makeup with a glossy lip.

Elsewhere, Alex also represented the British High Street in an elegant outfit from River Island.

Taking to her Instagram account to showcase her look, she wrote: ‘Style inspo from Gareth Southgate… If it helps us get to Wembley on July 31st I’m rolling with it.

‘3 points for the @lionesses and a special opening night of the @weuro2022 … C’mon @england,’ she added.

Last month, Alex revealed the BBC offered to take her off air after she received death threats and misogynistic messages online.

Alex has forged a hugely successful career as both a presenter and a pundit, but admits the transition from the pitch to in front of the camera has not been easy.

She has faced push back, including from former Labour minister and ex-House of Lords member Digby Jones last year, who criticised her pronunciation and asked if someone could give her elocution lessons.

In an interview with the radio times, Alex – who has previously admitted social media abuse made her turn to alcohol – revealed she told the BBC’s director of sport, Barbara Slater, that she ‘didn’t want to be taken off air because then who wins?’

She added: ‘I’ve had so many tweets saying I should be at home ironing or cooking. I don’t care about those, but sometimes people threaten my life and those have to be taken seriously.

‘It’s my responsibility to change perceptions by sitting in that chair and talking about football.’

Alex previously admitted in an interview on mental health with fellow footballer Troy Deeney that she sought comfort in alcohol after being bombarded with abusive messages online.

‘When I retired, getting trolled, I found that I was turning to drink to try and hide everything, hide what I was feeling,’ she said.

‘I didn’t tell anyone, I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want her to worry or put that stress on her. I was just that person (who thought) “I can look after myself, I can deal with stuff” but obviously sometimes that’s the wrong way.

‘I got to a dark place and it was over Christmas, that’s when I was like “I can’t carry on like this, it’s not me, I need to seek help” and that led me into therapy.’
