Amy Hart reveals what happens if it’s your birthday while in Love Island villa

Amy Harthas been a fountain of knowledge during this year’s series ofLove Islandand has been reflecting on her time on the ITV show on social media.

The former Islander, 29, who appeared on the show in 2019, has been taking to TikTok to answer many fans' questions includingwhat the girls do if they get their period in the villaand therules concerning naps.

Now, the blonde beauty answered a pressing question about how the Islanders know how to celebrate a birthday, and how they even know what day it is as they’re unaware of the date or even the time in the villa.

Amy explained how she kept up with what day of the month it was: “I didn't know what day of the week it was but I knew what date and day in the grand scheme of things”.

The reality star explained how she kept on top of it all: “We went in on the first of June which was day one and June is obviously a 30 day month. So the first of July was day 31. So every morning I'd wake up and be like ‘seventh of June – day seven’.

“That’s how I sort of kept my mind occupied in that sort of way. Obviously I wasn't bothered about the time, wasn’t bothered about the day of the week. I just liked to know how many days we had left till the end basically.”

Amy, who celebrates her birthday on 1 August explained that she was almost in the villa for her big day: “Mine was the following week, but obviously I decided to go home for my birthday instead,” she giggled into the camera.

Amy has been keeping fans and viewers of the ITV dating show in the loop as she reveals what really happens behind the scenes.

Most recently the star explained whyrazors were considered “weapons”and had to be requested by contestants if they wanted to shave.

“Obviously the showers have got the frosted panels across the middle because you just had to shave in there, obviously you couldn’t wait to have a wax," the former Love Island star explained.

She went on to add that she "actually prefers" to shave her legs instead of getting them waxed, but it appears that gaining access to a razor in the villa could be difficult at times.

“Also, because razors are classed as ‘weapons’, you weren’t allowed them in your bag. You had to go and ask for them, they got taken off you before you went in and then you’d have to ask for them back," Amy revealed.
